Department Responsibilities
The code department is responsible for the general health, safety, and welfare of those who live, work and play in the Township through the enforcement of Codes and Ordinances. The department is responsible for:
- Building Inspection
- Code Enforcement
- Erosion and Sedimentation Control
- Permitting
- Zoning
Staff Certification
Code staff involved in permitting, inspection, and enforcement functions have been fully registered by the State of Pennsylvania to perform all required inspections and plan reviews, and hold numerous certifications from various agencies, including but not limited to the :
- International Code Council
- Pennsylvania Association of Code Officials
- Pennsylvania Building Officials Conference
- Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection
- Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry
